The Heritage MAT executive team is made up of the six Headteachers from across our Trust and our Chief Executive Officer, Darren Christian. Together, this group forms the Education Leadership Group (ELG)—a collaborative body that drives strategic planning and decision-making for the entire Trust.

What does the ELG do?
The Education Leadership Group ensures that our schools work in harmony to deliver the highest standards of education and operational excellence. We focus on:

• Policy Development: Creating clear, consistent policies that support our vision and values.
• Teaching, Learning & Assessment: Sharing best practice and setting high expectations for classroom delivery and student outcomes.
• Building & Estate Management: Planning and maintaining safe, modern learning environments.
• ICT Infrastructure: Developing robust systems that enhance teaching and streamline operations.

By working together, the ELG provides strong, unified leadership that ensures every school within Heritage MAT benefits from shared expertise, coordinated planning, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
